Today the need for international understanding remains more critical than ever. The Center for Global Education offers students and U.S. colleges and universities informational resources and expertise to support education and international understanding. Through websites, an advisory board and council, conferences and other activities, the Center vigorously promotes participation in and professional research on study abroad and international exchange.

With more than 200 members of the Center's SAFETI Consortium, the Center serves over 1,000 U.S. colleges and universities that offer study abroad. The Center receives in excess of 3 million visits to its Web pages per year, placing it among the most important and well-known resources in the study abroad field. Established in 1998 and supported through grants from U.S. Department of Education’s Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE), the IFSA Foundation, and support from Loyola Marymount University, the Center plays a recognized role in fostering the coordination and the availability of higher caliber information within the field of international education.

However, as Center external grants are nonrenewable, to sustain and continue to improve the resources offered by the Center, ongoing sources of support will be required. To ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of the Center, your support is necessary.
